MLTTM is a cutting-edge form of manual therapy that is patent-pending, used by Licensed Massage Therapists and other health care professionals to relieve tight muscles and resolve joint dysfunction.
What is the treatment like?
Manual Ligament TherapyTM involves the gentle manipulation of ligament and muscle tissue to relieve pain and hypertension often cause by repetative motion or injuries. MLTTM can be combined with your massage experience or used as a stand-alone modality. As a Nationally Certified Licensed Massage Practitioner, your MLTTM provider has also completed a comprehensive certification course. Based on the expertise of your treatment provider, a treatment plan will be created for you with personalized recommendations designed to attain the best possible results as quickly as possible.
Aside from quickly relieving general muscle pain, MLTTM has often proven to increase joint range of motion, increase muscle strength and endurance, and resolve the following conditions as well as many others:
- Neck Pain or whiplash
- Headaches
- Mid and low-back pain
- Shoulder, arm and hand dysfunction
- Hip, leg, and foot dysfunction
- Sports injuries
- Chronic pain syndromes such as fibromyalgia
Are there any side effects?
Because MLTTM is very effective in restoring muscular balance, a small percentage of first time treatment recipients with more severe pain or disorders have experienced what is called "kick-back" symptoms. This discomfort occurs as the body gets used to the proper alignment it has recovered through MLTTM. Think of it as a muscle that hasn't had to work for a while complaining loudly when it finally does. This discomfort is normally short-lived, only lasting a few hours or about one day, and is usually followed by significant pain relief.
Is MLTTM safe for everyone?
Absolutely! Because of the gentle manner in which it is applied, MLTTM can be used to treat anyone from children to the elderly to those who are wheel-chair bound. In fact, MLTTM can be performed with the client fully clothed in modesty if an issue.
